I wonder how it is that @ScottAdamsSays misunderstands that as a member of any given cohort, you should be interested in rates and not levels of any particular endogenous outcome (good, bad, or neutral).

I'm not arguing about any of your opinions on immigration. I'm arguing about the use of levels vs rates when assessing (in this case) risk. If we were to get stuck arguing about the legitimacy of a subset then we'd not be arguing risk, we'd be arguing legitimacy.

But herein lies the rub. If California who has the largest prison pop in the US refuses to disclose immigration status of prisoners and all of those prisoners are counted as citizens is the statistic valid? Other states also refuse and are counted as 100% citizen prison pops also
