When the 15 year pause occured at the beginning of this century they argued that the extra heat was hidden in the oceans. They can't explain the drop in global temps between the 40's and the 70's. Essentially they make it up as they go along. An answer for everything.

“They understand all of the factors of warming (C02, sun, orbital position, etc.) and find only one of them correlated to current temperatures increases.” That’s not even close to true. I agree CO2 is a driver but the unknowns are huge.

Yes, the unknowns are huge. One being the IR absorption rate of CO2 at higher concentrations in the atmosphere. I've read reports (don't know if they are accurate) that at a certain level absorption maxes out. And CO2 accounts for only a small percentage of the GHG effect anyway.

Scott, understanding the factors of climate ≠ understanding how the climate actually operates. It doesn't include e.g. the internal feedbacks and mutally regulative interactions of the ocean, atmo-, litho-, cryo- & biospheres. Thx for all you do. w.http://wattsupwiththat.com/2013/02/07/emergent-climate-phenomena/ …

Excellent article!! If anyone thinks climate science is "settled" and CO2 levels are all that matter after reading it they are only fooling themselves.
