The Dems need some work on their delivery and sales pitch. I'll mention that to AOC when she gets back from her sit-ins at Pelosi's office.

There are endless debates about "the right sales pitch". Factual pitches are too dry, fail Persuasion. Emotional pitches are manipulative polar bear crap. Appeal to evidence is too nuanced. Appeal to consensus is offensive. Etc.

Start by putting every skeptical claim in one place with the links to debunk them handily included. Then deemphasize the models in favor of saying temperatures are spiking in the past XX years, and if it continues, we are definitely screwed. (Keeps it simple.)

skeptical science's list of myths is an example. Probably has done some good, but somewhat irrelevant. https://skepticalscience.com/argument.php Contrarians have mounted a pretty raging/successful ad hominem counter for years. The editors probably played into it, tough. http://www.populartechnology.net/2012/03/truth-about-skeptical-science.html …

And the models are emphasized *by opponents* as a perceived FUD/vulnerability point. Average person doesn't understand what "model" means in scientific method, can think it means "made up computer prediction". So the choice is whether to answer or not, not whether to emphasize.

The general problem is dealing with the counter-propaganda, which only has to succeed in injecting FUD and confusion, and using ideology/identity touchstones to polarize. Pretty easy. There are a zillion summary videos I'm sure, probably some good ones by NASA and NOAA.

Another recommended book is. There is a good interview with Joseph Romm on Sam Harris's podcast too. This book is very readable and breaks down all the claims.pic.twitter.com/6nAPZw3pVR

Does it cover the more credible-sounding skeptical claims?
