How else are you going to solve the AGW problem if you don't get buy-in from conservatives and Dems continue to lose elections? I know my fellow Democrats explicitly looking to boost the votes on our side. Not scare-mongering, a political strategy.

Assume the GOP will keep pushing obstructions on poor & minority voting and Dems will be happy to legalize voters and make it easier to vote, regardless of positions on climate change...

I think there's a tide in favor of pro-climate/science policies over time, both age demographic related and piling up of impact evidence. But resentment culture is strong; lots of GOP voters too distrusting of "elites" which includes scientists. As a smart libertarian put it:pic.twitter.com/mqjFF9DvWj

What would the probability be to change my mind back from AGW to skeptic again? Sort of like putting toothpaste back in the tube.

So you aren't open to challenging your own presuppositions then? Sounds like a highly conservative mindset.

That is because AGW and anti-AGW are really not equivalent. The arguments for AGW are vastly more persuasive and obvious. Similar to evolution vs. anti-evolution. Or tectonic plates vs. anti-tectonic plates. I was mistaken the first time.

I don't agree. Check out this 2018 climate debate with
@MichaelEMann@dwtitley@curryja@EcoSenseNow I found only Judith Curry convincing. She offers a compromise of a "no regrets" energy policy, where it's beneficial even if models overestimate warming https://youtu.be/pVXHaSqpsVg6 replies 0 retweets 1 like -
There is still a fair amount of uncertainty (even according to the IPCC) about how much climate variability is due to humans or natural variability. Curry poses the issue, what happens if we go to all this expense to remove CO2, only to find it ultimately had a minor impact.

The more uncertainty I have about something that may have dire consequences, I will move to actions that are safe rather than being sorry I didn't take action. Curry is far outnumbered by brilliant scientists who disagree with her assessment. No longer a hypothetical problem.

The flaw in that thinking is that there are multiple dire risks at any given time. You are only focusing on what is in the news.

Is it in the news for a reason?
