Current situation: President Trump doesn't believe in useless climate deals based on complex, multivariate models that claim to predict the temperature of the planet for the next 80 years, whereas the more pro-science Democrats don't believe walls work.

Democrats don't seem to realize that coyotes are looking for convenient places to present their clients to the Border Patrol without themselves being apprehended. Gym combination locks are easily defeated, but they still stop almost all theft.

The topic is the effectiveness vs. ineffectiveness of walls to eliminate, limit, or otherwise curtail illegal immigration. Try to remain focused.

To me it seemed like you were saying that a wall was useless because of ladders. Can you see how I might get that impression? The cost-effectiveness, competing interest expenses, total costs, and practicality of a wall are other questions open to debate.

The tall ladder hack doesn’t work because they don’t fit in backpacks and any ladders put there permanently would be removed. Walls are good friction.

Friction? Friction is not an effective deterrent to a strong and focused force.

Internal controls aren’t a guarantee. They just make it harder. Have two guys, not one, open the parking meters to collect coins—to commit the fraud they have to collude. Put em in separate rooms and they tend to fold due to prisoners dilemma.

I am amused by people who believe walls now magically do nothing and that they have solved a millennia old riddle. Boy. Thanks for enlightening us. A ladder? Who knew?

How about torches or thermite charges, which are readily available? Steel w/ slats' okay for temp, but we should work toward a "Great Wall" style wall w/ patrol road on top. Border agents didn't imagine such a patrol road, when they requested a "see through" wall.

Wall should be framed in a good light as a proverbial "good fence, which makes good neighbors" & as "The seam, which holds the countries together" w/ carnivals, convention centers, duty free shops, & museums, etc, celebrating the good relationship.pic.twitter.com/3jaEqPAvto
