I disagree with you shifting into an identity politics paradigm. Lose a lot of credence and respect (from many I'd suspect) once you start judging the value of a position by the identity of the person saying it.

I've greatly enjoyed the analysis of what is persuasive in the climate change debate, but having spent the past 12 years reading critiques of modern science, I can also see that you are missing a lot of the larger patterns that are plaguing modern science right now.

My approach has been to (1) collect the most thought-provoking critiques of modern science; (2) identify the controversies throughout all disciplines which exhibit the most potential for change; and then (3) evaluate vindications over time for these against-the-mainstream claims.
