Why do you ignore the point that other proxies support the climate science majority view? Tree rings not needed.

Why do climate scientists say the opposite. Are you looking at the same data?

most climate scientists don't know anything about proxy reconstructions other than conclusions in abstracts. Here's Figure S1 from Esper et al 2012 (Nature) by non-skeptic tree ringers. Does it look like HS to you?pic.twitter.com/INErzpsKAI

I discount 100% of the climate graphs on both sides. It's hard for me to tell myself "This time the Nigerian Prince email is true!"

You. An also keep your eyes wide open while driven if we’re on loosy metaphors. It sure is frustrating to see data discounted but it’s true that laymen are so vulnerable to graph manipulation it’s wiser for them to discount them all.

So why bother people with questions if the answers you are not capable or willing to understand? Also false equivalence is not an argument nor a good persuasion.

If you want to get a handle on this debate, Scott, you have to be willing to delve into the data. Granted, it isn't an easy slog but worth it, IMO.

Go carefully though - delving in this vat of worms can change your world view a LOT if you're prepared to go at it with an open mind. Scott will tell you that's impossible. I disagree.

Scott, well if that's the case, that you actually discount 100% of graphs presented on both sides, you should probably extricate yourself from debating the issue further. Understanding these issues to the point of making credible assessment takes time. Best advice: Don't cop-out.

I was early on astonished at excessive "promotion" by climate academics (as term understood in stock market) and at very limited due diligence involved in academic peer review. From my experience, most "skeptics" are created not by persuasiveness of other skeptics - many of
