I would like to apologize for suggesting today that it is a bad idea for children to influence the political and medical decisions of adults. Based on the comments I got on Twitter, I now believe they can't do any worse than adults.

Fair point...But....We had laws limiting abortion in US long after women got the vote and could serve on juries. And now more women in Congress and state legislatures than ever. So they *can* hold up pretty well in both ballot box and jury box.

You need to remember it's not just the mother's body involved. The baby is a distinct DNA entity...it's its own person. Only the mother or women should have such power over another person's life?

If you look at polling results men and women track pretty close on abortion issue. You want the decision to be made at the individual level. Restrictions used to be made at the state level. In 1973 it was pushed to the highest court to make law. Much like the Dred Scott 1/
