Looks like @realDonaldTrump fell into the “never negotiate with yourself” trap. A counter offer after being blown off on his first offer. I’m I right about this @ScottAdamsSays?

Appears the only difference is a border barrier and temp. vs. permanent for DACA/TPS. Any prediction Scott?pic.twitter.com/bqnm9gLsCB

It was closer to your scope re: "changing the variables." He still has 5.7B wall but added MORE border officers, more "non-wall" security $, & humanitarian $ for the USA side. He then added extensions to plans for the Dems, which we agree he was always going to do anyway.

You keep falling into the same trap...he is negotiating with the American people...pressure is on Dems.

I voted for him twice. Unless this is a setup for the National Emergency declaration, he’s lowering the price for someone who won’t buy at any price. The Dems prefer to border open so it is Trump’s headache.

It looks like his counteroffer increases what he was asking for in his initial offer.

I suspect there’s a pressure point we aren’t aware of that is about to make the continued shutdown more unpopular for Trump. However, he’s used deceptive signals of weakness before. If he thinks he needs to embolden Democrats for some plan of his, he just did.
