There's no problem at all. If you have data to support your hypothesis, you publish it and in that process have it peer reviewed. If there's not enough support to reach your conclusion then it gets rejected, The science community happily accepts new theories if they're backed up.

I don't see the logic in your first sentence. Aren't there numerous examples of scientific theories -- some founded, some not -- which have skeptics? Take flat-earthers or anti-vaxxers, for examples. I don't see the existence of skeptics as particularly indicative of anything.
