I’ve never considered this outcome. I’d like to hear the climate change activist rebuttal.

You should read State of Fear by Michael Christian. Rings very true regarding climate science and motivations of its loudest supporters.

Usual response is the feedback loops do the job of transforming a logarithmic function into an exponential (runnaway) one. If true, it would have happened in previous high CO2 peaks in the paleoclimatic record. Maybe the atmosphere is a lot more flexible and therefore stable?
-
If there were only positive feedback loops then the earth would have fried long ago. There are certainly negative loops that kick in at some point.

The response is „feedback“, though the question raised in the article is valid: That feedback existed before as well.

Why would CO2 have more effect then H2O? When the amount of water is vastly more plentiful on Earth and in the air.
-
The theory says CO2 influence is what changes the amount of water in the air.

You already sold me on your law of slow moving disasters. I think that’s why I can’t generate any enthusiasm for this topic. It will all work out without me directing my energy in this direction.
