Do we need to debate the theory of gravity, the heliocentric theory or that the earth is not flat? Of course, not. It is just a waste of time, same with climate change. The only ones who want to debate it are climate deniers, who won't believe any of the real science anyways.

Oh great guru of the climate sciences, please enlighten us all on the sources of your wisdom that is so much greater than those actually trained and working in the field. -

Totally missed the point. I DON'T have the answer. Nobody, from what I've seen has staged an organized debate to settle the question. If both sides feel they're correct, then settle it and let's move in an agreed upon direction. If you can't, then how strong is your argument?

Perhaps you aren’t taking sides, but you have appealed to the “1000s of top climate experts” argument multiple times. I interpreted that as you thinking their conclusions can’t be suspect. If that’s not the case, my bad.

He suspects BOTH sides of using illegitimate arguments and has requested all of them to send their best claims with evidence. So far, he's shown as much rationality as one could reasonably expect - looking at ALL sides fairly and keenly. Glad someone finally did it.
