Is that true? The ocean soak up and emit CO2 depending upon their temperatures. Colder water holds more CO2 than warmer water. To me it makes sense that the last ice age ended, the oceans warmed and began outgassing CO2 into the atmosphere.

Think of it like drinking a soda. Soda goes flat quickly at room temperature but remains fizzy with ice in it.

Would the preponderance of subsea volcanoes, rarely mentioned, be a factor?

No. Volcanoes were not the main CO2 producer in pre-industrial times. Look at the sources and sinks from IPCC (AR4). The numbers are in Gigatonnes. Today volcanoes emit 0,2 Gigatons per year (ref USGS). Even if you multiply it by 20 it would be tiny compared to land & ocean.pic.twitter.com/GULyjWDLGE

Were they? Doesn’t the constant decay of organic matter create more CO2 than anything else?

Where the CO2 came from is irrelevant. What the ice cores show is temperatures going down as CO2 goes up. This is the opposite of "consensus" climate science.
