Millions of lives are lost if we institute draconian energy restrictions based on green requirements, and on the flip side millions of lives are lost if we do nothing and climate change destroys most human life on the planet. Both of these assume climate change is real.

My argument is that poor energy policy would be catastrophic, and the onus is on the data tamperers to prove what they are doing is correct. Having said that, I can and have demonstrated the adjustments are bogus. https://realclimatescience.com/2018/07/the-completely-fake-time-of-observation-bias/ …pic.twitter.com/UhWSJBfUBO

Excellent point, Steve. A clear example of political posturing taking the place of logic is the New Zealand government ignoring its own research department’s advice in regards to an offshore oil and gas exploration ban.

A group of experts are convinced beings living beneath the surface of Mars are coming to steal our atmosphere. Our only hope is to redistribute all wealth/raw materials to technology/defense companies capable of combating this which might cause billions to die. What do we do?

Are you saying you can be convinced that scientists can better know the actual temperature on a day, say, 80 yrs after it was measured, using some adjustment methodology? And have enough confidence in that "adjustment" to risk your millions and trillions? Not me.

Millions of lives? If we ignore a degree or two of possible (barely measurable) warming in 80 years? That's like me moving from NYC to Philly?
