Hey @ScottAdamsSays the satellite temperature record is absolutely not “debunked”, and is very relevant to the global warming question. Satellites can measure across vast tracts of ocean and unoccupied land in a way thermometers cannot. It is “real” measurements.https://twitter.com/ClimateRealists/status/1082130868439863296 …

Are you saying satellites can tell you the ocean temperature with precision from space? 90% of the warming is the ocean.

Most of the ENERGY change is in the world ocean, but land has seen a slightly larger temperature anomaly increase, because the air overland is drier.

If the CO2 theory is accurate, we should see the atmosphere continuing to warm as more CO2 is produced by man. Satellite atmospheric temperature data shows this not to be the case for the past 20 years.

AGW folks say that isn't long enough to mean anything. At the same time they say the last ten years are extra hot.

It's important to separate the propaganda from reality. The planet is retaining energy, this is evident from both temperatures and sea level rise. But climate sensitivity isn't as high as touted. And adverse impacts are exaggerated.

I don’t think anybody disputes post little ice age warming. People do dispute the claim it is “unprecedented in rate” (how can that be claimed when we have no detailed records from the past). And people do dispute that man-made CO2 is an important factor.

There was a big super El Niño (ocean current change) spike in 2016, but since then then temps have dropped by a whopping 0.6C in just 2 years to bring them back to the post 1998 (another super El Niño) mean level...pic.twitter.com/sohi5IfPzM

This constancy of temp over a 20 year span as more CO2 than ever was released by man seems to contradict the “rapid warming due to CO2” hypothesis. CO2 theory predicts strong atmospheric warming.

So we have a concatenated series of errors or exaggerations: amount of warming-the climate sensitivity-the future emission rates (too high); the carbon cycle ability to scrub CO2 (too low), the impacts-fossil fuel resources (too high); and renewables costs (understated).

Here is something fun. The below graphs are “pink noise” (I.e., purely random). The trick is sorting out how much of the temp changes we see are just pink noise from anything systemic.pic.twitter.com/dQbFcooxD4

White noise is where the noise is equal across the frequency spectrum. Pink noise is where the noise is higher on the lower frequencies. A lot of climate is chaotic “butterfly flapping wings causing El Niño” over various frequencies from 100s of years to 10.
