Which argument about sea level rising from climate change do you find most PERSUASIVE? Sea level is rising because of CO2 warming: https://bit.ly/2rsuLRH  Sea level is rising but not because of people:https://bit.ly/2GUPR6m

The one where no one is divesting from oceanfront property because they believe it will be lost to a rising sea.

Pro tip: Only rich people invest in beachfront property, and they can afford to enjoy it for 30 years then walk away if water rises too high. It means nothing that they enjoy the beach now.

Rich people can pay off mortgage loans even if the house gets swallowed by the sea. Banks have no real risk.

It’s not just beachfront, there are properties on inland waterways subject to the same risk. Those aren’t owned exclusively by people who consider the property dispensable.

"Willing" is a misleading word. Better to say the rich have a different risk profile so they can take their time and enjoy the beach.

How about reading some actual research that estimates acceleration like this one that used tide gauge data from around the world? https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1029/2005GL024826 … Their WORST case predicts ~13.5" by 2100. Not an amount anyone could remotely describe as being "catastrophic".
