My interpretation of this article: Scientists have no reliable temperature data history and thus there is no way to know whether or not the planet is warming. Am I wrong?https://twitter.com/JSegor/status/1080471267982008321 …

In fact when the satellites were launched (in part due to real concerns about the interglacial ending) there was a lot of talk about shutting down the "obsolete" temperature station data recording.

It’s easy to get distracted debating measurements. Here’s my question for the Global Warming alarmists, assuming its real: What percentage of the supposed observed global warming trend was caused by humans as opposed to other variables?
-
At least 74% is due to man's activities. I think I read that we contribute 100 times more CO2 than volcanos. Also, the Sun's irradiance is going down in recent years. The El Ninos, etc. redistribute heat not create it. Cosmic rays have been ruled out. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/three-quarters-of-climate/ …

Satellite data is also adjusted. But here scott. I did this chart especially for you. Below see the diffeence between UNadjusted data, and debiased data--what you call adjusted. SEE? really small difference. we are warming. plants and animals even know this. even rocks know itpic.twitter.com/kxfFhcwHYD

What I see is that we aren't getting any better at recording data over time. Why do you suppose that is?

Satillites "measure" a different temperature scott . actually they estimate it using a model. But yes it's getting warmer, there was a Little Ice Age

Satellite data is the least accurate, this due to imperfections in orbits. If you doubt this, check with the head of the weather satellite program.

The best method to estimate worldwide temperature change would be a full ocean temperature reanalysis, including geothermal flux, coupled to land temperature reanalysis, with krigging of sparse coverage areas. This product doesn't exist, but it's doable.
