I get that going nuclear could solve a lot of problems in regards to emissions, but is it too unreasonable to assume such nuclear power wont be entirely emission free until a few generations when we possibly develop more advanced cells for extraction?

Fusion is the same as the sun. Up close the energetic particle are radioactive but when shutdown it stops the reaction and there is nothing leftover that is radioactive. Of course it is a "Sun" in a box, so a loon with a bomb could blow something up during operation for H-bomb

It's also a great source of abundant energy, but I see other alternative energy sources becoming just as viable as nuclear. We can make window panes that act like solar panel, albeit less efficient at the moment but it isnt too far off to where the average consumer can utilize.
