Scott, do you think Donald Trump is doing this in defense of the LGBTQ community?

I think it's a twofer. I can handle more than one variable at a time.

Variables like his anti-LGBTQ judge appointments, his administration's rolling back of trans rights, his DOJ's claim that the Civil Rights Act doesn't protect gay and bisexual workers, his refusal to recognize Pride Month, and the firing of his HIV/AIDS advisory council?

Good points. Also the first President to be okay with gay marriage on day one, and first openly gay diplomat appointment. But you are right he doesn’t like bending rules for any group of Americans.

You keep saying he's been for gay marriage, and I'm not sure why.pic.twitter.com/y5fTFWpZ2F

“The most pro-LGBTQ president in history“ other than all the evidence otherwise

First president to be pro-gay-marriage on day one. First openly gay ambassador appointed. First openly gay Republican convention speech. Shut up Pence by hiring him. Turned GOP from anti-gay to something closer to don't care.

The Obama Administration appointed seven openly gay ambassadors, Bush appointed one.
