The short answer is no. Trees/plants are by far the most efficient and effective was of transforming CO2 to material. Ask

Just a guess, but thinking the extraction on a large scale would be cost prohibitive. Small scale stuff used on submarines and the like, but perhaps someone knows a Chemical Engineer who can answer?
