This is probably a stupid question, any actual profundity entirely coincidental: If the universe is natural, but externally appears as a singularity (which I assume, possibly erroneously, means everything that will happen already has) does that effectively differ from simulation?

I mean differ from our perspective internal to the universe, in that our perception of it's dynamic evolution is "false" bc it is on whole static.
