Have U seen any demonstration of a sustained fusion reaction? A quick search says 330 seconds in a large scale tokamak. Totally support research but break even isn't here & that isn't generating power till way over q=1.

The problem is the power required to isolate the fusion reaction from the walls of the reactor exceeds the power generated by the reaction using today's technology. Until more power efficient containment technology is invented, We're stuck.
