human experience is fundamentally anecdotal but nt. my hypothesis is that the fiction they read is low resolution, which keeps their imagination and critical analysis low enough to embrace shit ideologies. not anti science btw just pointing out that we have limited senses.

Perhaps they are just primed to believe fantasy, like Socialism, which only works in theory and never in reality. They believe that putting "no guns allowed" signs on doors will prevent killings, when in actuality it disarms victims.
