But when presented with counter-examples, you provided "well, you also read fiction" as argument for why your hypothesis is still valid. In fact, you've done that multiple times throughout this thread. So either you're presenting that as a valid counterargument or you're not.

You're absolutely right! But this thread is full of actual data about how science-inclined or careered people tend to lean politically, which is all met with the same response. "They read a lot of fiction." So the hypothesis then is that fiction consumption trends one leftward.

you still don't understand statistical analysis, to prove him wrong you would have to isolate the variables "time spent reading fiction" and "time spent reading non-fiction" then find out the co-relation between that and how people vote.
