Okay, explain how I've mischaracterized your point. Because she points out that she's a scientist, that she reads primarily non-fiction, but you argue that the amount of fiction she -does- read proves your point about her trend towards liberalism.

Did you think I claimed reading fiction turns all people into Democrats?

You certainly implied it. Fiction is correlated to empathy, which implies liberal leaning.

Incorrect. I made no assertions about specific individuals. That would have been stupid. The hypothesis is about the average of the group.

But when presented with counter-examples, you provided "well, you also read fiction" as argument for why your hypothesis is still valid. In fact, you've done that multiple times throughout this thread. So either you're presenting that as a valid counterargument or you're not.

I recommend to you a course in statistics (you'll learn about inferential statistics in probably the first week of Stats 101) and a lesson or two in appropriate debate strategies. Good day.

she plays the intellectual high-ground, but she literally gave an anecdote as counter evidence, it's as if Scott Said "I think eating a lot of food makes people fat", and she told him: I know a couple of bodybuilders, they eat a lot and they aren't fat!
