Not only do the vast majority of scientists lean Democrat, but conservatives on average get worse grades, are more likely to be religious, more likely to not believe in global warming (and evolution), and tend to be more emotional https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0956797611421206 … https://www.cell.com/current-biology/fulltext/S0960-9822(11)00289-2 …

A good test of my fiction-reading hypothesis would be seeing if the scientists who read the most fiction are also most likely to believe in climate change models.

Why go for fiction-reading when you could just measure IQ? Conservatives tend to believe in fictions like God over scientific facts such as evolution and climate change. This has less to do with reading habits and more to do with lower cognitive abilities. https://www.cell.com/current-biology/fulltext/S0960-9822(11)00289-2 …

Why do the smart people think climate models are "science" when the dumb people can see they are not? Please amuse me by explaining why computer models are "science."

The same way we use computer models to calculate the exact math required to launch satellites successfully. The accuracy of our computer models translate directly into the physical world in this way. https://www.nasa.gov/missions/earth/oceans3d.html … https://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/

You realize the computer models used to calculate space missions are based on hand calcs from decades ago that were proven to work through trial and error. Climate models don't have the run time of launch calcs and have large error bands. They are approximations at best.

It's science. If you reject scientific consensus because it is inconvenient for you, you are a science denier/ anti-science.

Indeed. 1. Change one input in the equation and it goes to hell. 2. Not to mention unknown events which will(!) occur and changes in human behavior. I’ve done lots of financial projections. The farther out you look, the worse the prediction.

What ae the models built on? The models I create are based on mathematical equations - it may not be "science", but maths still obeys rules.
