You indicate here (https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1065251747944267776 …) that scientists read both whereas liberal arts majors read only fiction. So the statistics about scientists is in fact relevant to your hypothesis.

Fiction readers are probably generally aware they're reading fiction. "Science" readers are prone to forget that true scientific inquiry is extremely difficult to perform, and may accept poor science as fact.
