Your point is not related to my hypothesis that the more fiction you consume, the more primed you are for confirmation bias.

Maybe you could get some kind of service animal to help you find my point. Then, once you find it, maybe get another service animal to help you respond to it. Whatever you are doing here on your own isn't working.

I was just talking with a colleague about this yesterday. @ScottAdamsSays has a spot on graph. But I think the disparity can be explained by the chieftain mentality that scientists also tend to have. The one overrides the other in the extreme case of a professional scientist

You indicate here (https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1065251747944267776 …) that scientists read both whereas liberal arts majors read only fiction. So the statistics about scientists is in fact relevant to your hypothesis.

The hypothesis is not "scientists are mostly Republicans." The hypothesis is that reading fiction wires you differently than non-fiction. Scientists read both. Liberal arts majors might read mostly fiction, and would lean Democrat.

Fiction readers are probably generally aware they're reading fiction. "Science" readers are prone to forget that true scientific inquiry is extremely difficult to perform, and may accept poor science as fact.
