No, not really. You're not formulating 1 testable hypothesis; you're mapping 2 chains of reasoning. 'Scientists read more nonfiction', 'Republicans read more nonfiction' & 'More scientists are Democrats' are testable hypotheses. Think about those questions & get back to us.
