The Enemies of the People have cranked up their attacks on the citizens of the United States to pre-Iraq-war levels. Behold the protective power of the label "fake news." That framing keeps us out of nuclear war. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1062391577807601664 …

What did they get out of starting the Iraq war? Defense industry profits.

Defense industry profits from nuclear war? Perhaps the dumbest thing on twitter today. US nukes were built 50 yrs ago and maintaining them is a very profitable endeavor. If the world is destroyed the demand for replenishing our nuclear stockpile will be quite low believe me.

You sound like a too-literal person.

Wasn’t trying to be too literal. Just pointing out that economics around nuclear war are significantly different than a conventional war.

Obviously. So take it to the next step and ask yourself if I really meant a mutual exchange of nuclear weapons.

I can only go by what was written in previous tweets. Not sure what sort of situation you see occurring where one side launches nukes without the other retaliating. Maybe my tin foil MAGA hat isn’t properly tuned?

Unless NK fired first, which would be unlikely as it would be suicide, odds of NK getting off a functional nuke before their country is obliterated in a preemptive attack is fairly low.

If we fired first there is fair chance China would take some sort of action on behalf of NK. NK would also still have a reasonable chance of getting a nuke into Seoul, DMZ. US base, Tokyo, or Quam.

China wouldn't attack the US with nukes. Self-interest rules.
