If you are wondering who is creating the divide in this country, listen to President Trump's press conference today and then see how @CNN covered it.pic.twitter.com/aSQnce9v1c

How is that headline specifically inaccurate?

How would this be inaccurate: "President softens tone and extends olive branch to Pelosi and Democrats, predicts they can work well together. CNN reporter embarrasses himself with inappropriate rudeness."

Did they verbally battle? Yes. Did Trump make threats? Yes.

Trump responded to Democrat threats. Context matters. Pretending it doesn't makes you part of the problem.

Id give more credit to the American people to read the article instead of only the headline. That's your context, it's there.

You're evidently not a professional writer. The headline primes you to see the articles a certain way, and is done so intentionally. If you don't get that, you're missing everything. Read Win Bigly to understand the topic you are discussing.

I understand it completely. A headline actually is to grab eyes to generate interest in an article.

That's what a legitimate news source is supposed to do. They took it further, and not by accident. Surely you see that. And I'm guessing 70% of people who see headlines do not read the stories.

With confirmation bias in full swing, Scott seems to indicate he is part of the "70% of people who see headlines but do not read the stories". Maybe he is also a part of the problem.

Mr. Adams, 45 told 3 reporters during this presser that they were bad people and to siddown-shuddup. While I agree that headlines do prime their intended audience, your complete bias is showing. I point this out, knowing that you might not go back and look at your own words.

no, he's a member of the media, so he's automatically right. However CNN who is also a member of the media is automatically wrong, because they're using language he doesn't approve of. Although, this is what makes Twitter fun is debates like this.

The question was completely reasonable. The question was polite. Are you arguing that it wasn't? The president responded with name calling. How is Acosta wrong here? The press is called the 4th estate for a reason. It is their responsibility to call out our elected officials.

I would say that more than 90% people just read the headlines. An average person maybe reads one story a day but sees dozens of headlines. They are extremely important, and CNN is continuously and obviously twisting them to fit their narrative.
