It's not though:
1. CNN woman has meltdown over use of "mob"
2. Somebody inevitably realizes "mob" rhymes with "job"
3. It's great
4. Goes viral
5. Rs adopt it
6. NYT uses the #JobsNotMobs graph to tie red thread between Trump and every bad online neighborhood.https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1059267280700198913 …

That's fine and good, but it's really bad when America's #1 newspaper engages in dark crowdsourcing like this. It's a bad practice.

It's where, instead of getting *help* from online crowds, you abuse them. For example: journo tweets she wants to hear from any women abused by Kavanaugh, she gets a bunch of angry responses, then she uses the responses to support an article about how women are harrassed online.

I don’t see any monsters in this story. I think we might disagree on this. I think it is good that
@NYTimes performed actual journalism and reported from the “street” that is the Modern Internet. Credit where credit is due. I appreciate seeing r/The_Donald get positive exposure.2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -
I think they know that it's almost impossible to demonstrate causality online but they don't care.

Aren’t you happy that NYT had a reasonably balanced portrayal of reality? As somebody that followed events as they unfolded, I can attest that their reporting here is very good. I like the granularity. I don’t think they portrayed reality unfairly, as these outlets often seem to.

They missed some key context but I will fix that tomorrow.
