Easy to explain. The message and the messenger cannot be separated. Black people can use the n-word and I can't. People who are unambiguously non-racist can play around the edges of the topic in a way that those accused of being racist (even wrongly) cannot. That's basic.

Easy. Roseanne has been accused of racism in the past (even though she isn't), and supports Trump, which exacerbates the bias against her. Don Lemon is black, which is a good defense against being a racist, even if he is. How is this confusing? Facts are not a variable here.
