When will the anti-Trump press acknowledge its role in creating a dangerous political atmosphere? Will it be after President Trump takes full responsibility for his slapstick humor?

“Slapstick humor” Come on, Scott. You know plenty of his more dim witted followers take everything he says, including all of his lies, quite seriously. So media covering his negative acts negatively is worse than him literally calling for violence against his enemies?

Reporting his humor as serious weaponizes it, so yes, there is no comparison on which is worse. Not even close. The press could easily report it as Trump being inappropriate in his humor and of no consequence, which would defuse things. They do the opposite.

Even if the news didn’t report on what he says (which seems like a reasonable thing to do), I was thinking more about the thousands that go to his rallies and hear his comments live. Even without the media there would be Trumpers taking his “slapstick” seriously.

The only people taking it (too) seriously are the cattle who repeat CNN talking points.

The media also never reports that at every Trump rally, Trump speaks about bringing the country together & how much love there is for this country. This never gets reported or shown, thus claims of fake news are 100% accurate. They spin humor as nasty & hide the truth.

I see those comments in reporting, too... When the guy talks about bringing the country together in one breath and uses blatantly divisive language in the next, I guess you have to decide what you believe.
