I don’t agree completely, especially with rejecting models so cavalierly, but appreciate the chat and discussion. Have a good day and very sorry for your recent loss.

Climate models are predictions that are only as good as the underlying science Which improves Models used do predict the past Not acting increases the change For persuasion advice I would ask

Virtually all of what we know in science comes from a "model." Of course, if you understood anything about science...

Isn't a null hypothesis a form of model?

This is absurdly wrong. Every scientific theory that makes predictions is driven by a model. Climate models are simply one of the more complex models employed in science today. The fundamental underlying theory has been the same for over 100 years.

Did u know that science-based stockpile stewardship is based entirely on modeling & simulation that applies our understanding of physics & chemistry to make sure that our nuclear weapons are safe & reliable without testing them? Are we scientists using the word "science" wrong?

You don’t need models to show that increasing greenhouse gases increases temperatures, you just need to know basic physics. In facts Arrhenius and others estimated the effects long before computer models were even possible. Models simply instantiates the laws of physics.

But of course the cars you drive, planes you fly in, medicines you use, were designed with computer models. The Higgs Boson discovery, and most other scientific discoveries, was heavily dependent on computer models. You trust these. Why not climate models?
