Scott Adams asks why we punish imaginary people for the crimes of imaginary people. With coffee.https://www.pscp.tv/w/bn-G5TExODgwMjU5fDFaa0t6TmJERHpXS3bx3btLPyycL0bG5beJByaT0oudZ7cWWBOcA3wra2giZw== …

They are board votes...in this hearing it’s Senate votes...neither require proof of guilt... Both cases r simply votes on the “acceptability” of the candidate. Kavanaugh is dangerously close to showing himself as unacceptable to the voters. He’s not “entitled” to this position.

So my point is that the premise you put forward seems to be that sometimes “we punish imaginary people for imaginary crimes”. You might be right, but that premise isn’t relevant in the Kavanaugh hearings. They can vote “No” to his behaviour & judgement from the past two days!
