Yes, but if you're a programmer you should also be able to fairly easily tell the difference between an unintended consequence and an intended one. For instance, any programmer would be able to easily ID the Google search manipulation as intentional having never seen the code.

Naah, as a dev I can tell you we do a lot of unit testing, and also of general testing. We usually detect unintended behavior before release. When bugs arise we dive into them to understand the causes and repair them. We normally know what's going on with our code...
