I am with you on the first two sentences - There's a little too much finality in that last sentence. I agree it's unlikely that anything could be 'proven' to the degree of 'beyond a reasonable doubt', but that's what investigations are for
Respectfully, Kelly, there are at least a few Senators who disagree with you and maybe a lady and several FBI agents from a previous SCOTUS confirmation, as well.
It's not she, but her handlers, who are asking for a full FBI investigation. They want to do anything they can to delay a vote on his confirmation.

Is there some other piece of evidence or information that would be revealed if they investigated further? Is there something she wants to provide but couldn't for fear of being hurt, therefore, an investigation would allow her to talk?
I mean outside the scope of alleged sexual assualt.
