The human mind is so powerful. When the Twin Towers fell as they did, it reminded many of the controlled demolitions seen on video through the years, so they thought 911 was rigged. Similarly we speak of simulations, and wow, reality kinda looks like a simulation. Powerful minds.

Discounting solipsism, if we, instead of just myself, are unable to tell, why assume we are simulated? Evidence for a simulation is as strong as the evidence for god. Plus, it adds a lot of assumptions to explain the same as a real universe explains.

The argument is solid and simple. We will someday be able to create simulated creatures who believe they are real. And we will make more than one. So the odds of any existing creature being the original versus the copy is small.
