Even in great abundance, you will still have value (due to demand and scarcity) so, like all goods, allocation will be required. How to allocate scarce resources is still the question; and socialism still isn't the answer.

Once we start mining the solar system scarcity will be a thing of the past. Share economy will care for a lot of the rest. While that might not be the scary socialism you think of it will be pretty much how Marx imagined it. Well, actually better, we skip the dictators.
