If we could provide excellent healthcare to every citizen of the United States for a total government cost of five dollars per year, would you be in favor of doing it?

Happens to everyone. Also, Scott clarified in another post he meant $5 total per year and not per person. To restate the polling question: Would you be in favor of the government doing something obviously great if the cost was obviously insignificant. ANCAP's say no, others yes.

This ANCAP says no because the premise of the question ignores basic economics - we don’t live in a post scarcity world. We can’t just all vote to suspend gravity or change the color of the sky. This isn’t Harry Potter, it’s the real world.

A true ANCAP will say no to any government. Period. For any reason. ANCAP's are fine with services that government currently provides being provided by other sources/means, but no taxes/monopolies of force with no accountability to the customer.

It would be nice to get a clarification of the purpose of the poll. Whether it was to persuade only, or teach, or reveal people's true beliefs, provoke discussion, etc.
