To be clear, if CNN gets their names and addresses, I'll never serve on another jury. CNN Sued The Government For Names, Addresses Of Manafort Jurorshttp://thefederalist.com/2018/08/17/cnn-just-sued-government-get-names-addresses-manafort-jurors/#.W3dGQATIUKw.twitter …

Imagine, if you were prosecuted for a crime you did/didn't commit and found the people responsible for convicting you...This would end horribly

I’m recognizable by sight. Do you think I would vote to send a violent criminal to prison?

If you are afraid of serving on a jury because of retribution, wouldn't you fear that people can get your address via other means? Are you saying famous people should be exempt from civil duty?

I have a problem with that... All individuals are supposed to be treated equally under the law... That includes jurors...

Withholding Jurors identities and addresses should be the rule, not the exception and all individuals should be treated equally under the law, regardless of their social status.

Historically, the press and the public have had access to juror information. (See https://corporate.findlaw.com/law-library/the-public-s-right-of-access-to-juror-information-loses-more.html …) Trials should be public and there should be public records to prevent abuse by the state. Changes should be well considered and not driven by fear.

I agree. If however celebrities are going to get special treatment under that system, the system needs to be changed so that everyone is treated equally under the law.

The justice system doesn’t try to treat everyone the same.

I don't disagree. That said, I don't think the "golden age" will really start until all individuals are treated equally.

That’s not a reasonable goal. One of a thousand examples is children versus adults.
