Smart people call it cost-benefit analysis, or "negotiating."

astute observers saw this coming a mile away. I tweeted that this would be the scheme / pretext to dropping sanctions more than a year agohttps://twitter.com/screenslaver/status/849005477216231424 …

Your theory is that President Trump is solving the biggest problems in the world because it's good for Russia?

Solving the problem for whose benefit? What was all that America 1st stuff? Trump and Putin (and Netanyahu) are reasoning backwards from solving russia's problem (sanctions) and A/B testing the pretext that will justify dropping sanctions. Youre helping him with this

Your claim of their inner thinking is not in evidence. What we know for sure is that President Trump is getting something we want from Russia in both Syria and with NK.

Woah woah woah, what help do we need from Russia with North Korea? Trump already assured us his macho man rhetoric scared KJU into committing to full denuclearization. Are you suggesting that Trump lied, and now he needs Putin's help to make good on his false claims?!

Well NK will demand security insurance from all the nations surrounding them for sure...which yes...does include Putin and Russia. Using Trump's alpha talk as your basis for "he said he can do it alone...so do it" is ridiculous on its face.

the NK-RU border is ELEVEN MILES. No part of NK denuclearization (which Trump claimed KJU committed to) is contingent on some security guarantee from Russia

Border size is irrelevant. Does NK have better or worse security guarantees with Russia onboard? If you argue that point, I’m out.

Ohhh so that wasnt a bilateral summit between Trump and KJU? What does Putin get for helping Trump with that? Or did Trump have some authorization to make pledges to KJU on behalf of Putin? Hows that work?

You think this isn't something Trump is capable of (negotiating deals) or do you think this something Putin would oppose? Your response is confusing...maybe you think NK doesn't want security guarantees?
