Wrong. Coaches take responsibility for their team’s shortfalls. Those that don’t & blame the team are referred to as “throwing a players/coaches under the bus” and lose respect instantly, with a dim future. But analogies, you know, they’re poor persuasion right?

Maybe the coach analogy is a bad one because our country isn’t a team and we aren’t playing any games. Trump’s shit show as a weak lily-livered treasonous milquetoast to Putin’s aggressions was sickening and embarrassing. Russia is not our ally, friend or our “competitor”

Russia is an aggressive authoritarian country that doesn’t play by any rules of western democracies. They poison and kill their political opponents. They hacked our election servers and stole our voter registration information of 500,000 of us.
