With all due respect, all people do not hate racism. Racism is profitable and worse, comfortable. Showing a disdain for slurs is about appearing polite. I’ll be far more impressed when that energy is used to dismantle systems created to crush marginalized peoples.https://twitter.com/realcandaceo/status/1015958294739980288 …

All people hate racism, Jemele. Haven’t met a single white person that loves being called a cracker, or a Spanish person that prefers being referred to as a sp*c. I’m young though, so there’s still time. https://twitter.com/jemelehill/status/1015954454980497413 …

The claim is that no one likes racism against themselves.

Was that the claim? Or what that your interpretation of the claim, Scott. Unless I missed something, I saw Candace say “All people hate racism”. I didn’t see her say “against themselves”, as you stated, unless is was earlier in the convo?? #brainstorm

Racism is the wiggle word. Are we defining it as a system of oppression or as bigotry and rudeness towards an individual?

That’s one of the more polite instances of Cognitive Dissonance I’ve seen here.

The dominant culture of a tribe in a region is fine being called something that reflects them. A Chinese being called Chinese by a Malay will say thanks. But USA has little original tribe. We are stew and we brought blacks here so we broke it we fix it.
