This is beyond comprehension. No really, I think this melted my brain. It is that ridiculous.

Here is Ezra's take on the video. Not surprisingly, he falls over in admiration of the "deep psychological forensics" analysis Trump did on Kim. Instead of, I don't know, realizing how terrible it is.pic.twitter.com/05Sf8gTRiM

And while I am flooding your timeline, check out Scott Adams' take. Take note of how the video will win over Kim by *gasp* allowing him TO WATCH AN NBA GAME! Clearly compelling enough to make him stop the rape and murder he oversees in his own country!https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1006541149916430346 …

See how you had to turn my reasonable point into a weird absolute just to criticize it? What does that tell you about your opinion?

Hi Scott. First of all, thanks for replying. Before I go on, let me say I should have used your Twitter handle in my tweet instead of just using your name. It would have made it easier for you to see my comment, but I'm glad you saw it regardless.

Here is more info on my opinion. The Kim regime is now in its third generation and has never responded positively to coercion, flattery, or diplomacy. Maybe a new approach is required, but appealing to Kim's love of basketball doesn't seem strategic.

The basketball image was 1% of the message. He likes basketball. Images of basketball presumably helps put him in a receptive mood.

Fair enough. If Kim can become receptive and real change happens, that's obviously a win. I just don't agree with your assessment of the impact of that image or that there were "strong messages" in the video. Thanks again for the conversation.

The contrast and visual images of that contrast were strong. War versus technology and development.
