The problem is that the counter-argument is “that’s a lie,” but stupid people don’t understand that you cannot spend all day explaining basic economics to people who start from the assumptions of the lie in the first instance and are thus uneducable. https://twitter.com/scottadamssays/status/1005922978863992833 …

I simply asked the public to provide a link describing trade with Canada in a way we citizens can judge as fair or unfair. No one passed the test. I'm sure Tom would like to see such a link too. Wouldn't you?

There have been any number of economists and trade experts here on Twitter *for days* who have provided the data showing that our trade with Canada is balanced and fair. You choose to ignore it, because that’s how people like you “argue.”

Mind-reading fail. I have not chosen to ignore. I am publicly asking for links. People have sent me lots of stuff that doesn't answer the question but they thought it did. Can you pass the test? Just one article laying it out so a citizen can judge.

Why should anyone in America care what an average citizen thinks rather than the plethora of economists who actually study this?

I care what the experts think. That's why I spent two days asking for a link to a clear description of the situation. So far, only junk articles that address one element or are otherwise useless.
