Economics degree, Berkeley MBA, years of corporate strategy and finance experience, and exposure (as investor and advisor) to lots of medical startups you haven't yet seen. It is also a field of interest, so I read a lot.

Btw there’s many brilliant minds that were unschooled that have gone on to do huge things. And Harvard grads who’ve accomplished nothing. So I think while qualifications are nice, they are not necessarily an accurate predictor of real world success.
