I might have seen her apology as sincere if it weren't followed up by her retweeting or even outright statement more racist nonsense. That's the problem. If she was actually sorry, she wouldn't do that. But she's not, and so she does.

And the thing is? It's not up to us to decide if her apology was sincere or not. It's up to the person she insulted. And as far as I know, Valerie Jarrett did not accept her apology. I could be wrong on this.

Well, of course an apology doesn't fix what was broken. An apology SHOULD be used to state that you intend to actually do work TO fix what is broken. There's a difference between a real apology and an internet/press apology. One is effective, the other is meaningless.
