I think handing Trump an economy at near full employment was a pretty nice gift. Trump choosing to increase debt $1.5 TRILLION to almost exclusively benefit the wealthy, spiking insurance premiums out of spite, and increasing gas prices amounts to getting coal in our stockings.pic.twitter.com/r4exCpTPmo

Who pays for the debt? The poor?

Essentially, the middle class pays the debt. Their wages are stagnant, their healthcare costs more, and no tax cut. The rich got massive tax cuts. Let's try Percolate-Up tax cuts--middle class only... they're the engine for economic growth. Ask Kansas how well Trickle-Down works.

Taxes getting more regressive under the GOP, so of course the middle class's share of all all government expenditures,, including debt service goes up. The rich's share goes down... what's hard to understand?

If a genie offered to double everyone's wealth, would you refuse the offer because the rich get a better deal?

Except no genie has offered to double middle and lower class wealth. That genie has only inflated the pockets of the wealthy. For people like you. I'm sure it's easy to peddle nonsense like this when you're on the receiving end of said benefits.

Job market is nearly at "full employment" in economic terms, which means the low end just got leverage against the high end. And middle class homeowners with 401Ks are doing well.

Except that's not what it means at all. What "leverage" are you talking about? And what sort of generic, Trump-esque comment is that? "Middle class homeowners with 401Ks are doing well" ... what?

Supply of workers is low because of full employment (in economic terms). Workers will almost certainly get paid higher going forward as the law of supply and demand expresses itself. I guess I just got "destroyed" again?

401ks have stagnated with the rest of the stockmarket. Zero growth since the Trump tax cuts were enacted. Also, the "full employment" is temporary and misleading. What good does impinging immigration do for an economy needing workers when the food we eat will rot in the fields?

It doesn’t work as well because republicans have been crushing unions and organized labor for years. The leverage you speak of doesn’t exist because they’re is no organized way of using it.

You did get destroyed but you did it to yourself. Also look for yourself at the stats concerning wages. They are flat and falling against inflation. This is a phenomenon well understood by economists like mises who wrote about how to create these exact conditions.
