correct, scott was not comparing them - the readers who fall for the persuasion does, almost unconsciously. Scott just "linked them" and he lets delusion do the rest, by linking them he reinforces the credibility of what scott tweets about. that is how persuasion works

It’s manipulative and I believe he is creating a credibility around dishonest communication that does not exist.

Let's cut through it quickly. What is Scott's intention? That is what I am focusing on. Impressing people that divisive, dishonest communication is admirable is fraught with confusion (and feeds on confusion).

This kind of persuasion is in everything from politics to advertising.

as well as tweets from average everyday peeps. "persuasion" as scott uses it is just the practice of deception without lying directly at face value.

Is wearing lipstick a form of deceptive persuasion? Everyone knows why a woman wears lipstick, yet it persuades. Putting myself in the Jobs/Musk/Adams list was intended to be cheekily transparent while also effective. Deceptive?

wearing lipstick is a form of seduction, and is theater. there is a time and place for all of it. however in the courtroom, or in a critical discussion - there is no place for theater when there is the call for building a trusted, reliable consensus with integrity.

I am just here on twitter to deconstruct how your application of persuassion works on the human mind and seperating the chaffe from your intentions. I enjoy your level of skill, but I am cleary opposed to how you are applying it to rational consensus building.

Rational consensus building is magical thinking, with the exception of non-emotional topics, which are rare.
